My name is Alex McGee and this is my online journal — I write about the things that interest/annoy/distract me; there are a lot of things that I probably take too seriously but I find that I am mellowing with age and becoming more encompassing.
Content management for this site is handled by WordPress. Hosting is provided by the good people Nearly Free Speech.
The current (as of June 2008) version of the site is specifically created to be something of an anti-blog: no comments, one post at a time, an unreachable (though still extant) archive. I figured that all of the blog trappings really were pretty useless if I was only posting once every few months.
I can be reached via e-mail. I have Skype, AIM, MSN, and Yahoo chat aliases that I thought about putting here, but on the off chance that someone actually looks at this page, I decided against it. Really, the last thing I need is more people expecting an instant reply to correspondence.
